Hello. I am an educator with 15 years’ experience, friends and family call me Nanny Rhonda. I live with my husband, Bob, in a townhouse in South Dunedin and we have three children and four grandchildren. My home is a safe and welcoming place where children access a range of activities appropriate to their age or stage of development and understanding. I believe that a warm loving relationship is the foundation for children’s learning, and I encourage positive social interactions by role modelling old-fashioned manners, consideration for others and respect. Children in my home are encouraged to be curious and to explore their world, and I often ask “What if….?” and see where the answer takes a child’s imagination. Routine is important and children are able to take responsibility for themselves and others, sharing in tasks as a group. I attend Wild Things playgroups, go on outings into the local community and playgroups that give us the chance to mix with other cultures of our city. Children who have been at Nanny Rhonda’s are confident and eager to learn. I welcome the chance to be part of your child’s learning adventure.
