Rebecca Knopp

Dunedin

Hi, I’m Rebecca.  I live with my fiancée Brett and together we have three beautiful children of our own, my eldest having been a “Wild Things child”: Rhianah is 9-year old, Gabby is 4½ and Harrison is 6 months.  We live opposite a great school in a cul-de-sac in Balaclava/Kenmure.

Although the Wild Things children in my home are not my own, I aim to treat them with love and attention as if they were.  Children in my home have the experience of seeing and caring for the environment through a number of animals we have – birds, rabbits and dogs.

I am involved with Playcentre where my philosophy of learning through play and following the child’s lead is fostered.  My Wild Things children have the opportunity to attend Playcentre with me or one of Wild Things’ playgroups.  These social experiences, coupled with the home environment, enables children to become emotionally secure and independent – skills which will ultimately prepare them for school.

I welcome you to contact me via Wild Things and to make a time to meet at home, at Playcentre or playgroup.  I look forward to seeing you and your children.
